December 2023 – Further success at appeal for Aspect on a small residential development in the village of Fringford, Oxfordshire.

The scheme was refused planning permission by Cherwell District Council with one of the main issues being the scale of development and its effect on the character and appearance and rural setting of the village. Aspect’s Associate Director, Chris Jenkinson, provided the specialist landscape evidence and the Inspector agreed that the Site has a closer relationship with the surrounding built form than the surrounding fields and that it makes a limited contribution to the wider rural setting.

In allowing the appeal, the Inspector determined the quality of the design of the proposed development would ensure the presence of built form within the site would not be harmful in this context and that appeal scheme would therefore appear as a sympathetic expansion of the village within its built-up limits.
