About Us

We are specialist landscape architects, meaning our approach is to recognise the planning pressures for new housing and development, whilst ensuring high quality and supportable schemes are created.

Originally founded in 2004, Aspect has since become a well-established and recognised landscape planning and design practice. The landscape team is headed up by Company Director, Ben Wright, with support from a team of highly qualified Landscape Architects and Technicians. All members of the team are well rehearsed and fully experienced in a range of landscape design and planning matters.

Ben has considerable experience in the field of landscape planning and in overseeing the management of large scale projects and client interface. He has given expert evidence at numerous planning inquiries, section 78 and High Court challenges with Barristers from Landmark Chambers, 39 Essex Chambers, 4-5 Gray’s Inn Square, Francis Taylor Building, Kings Chambers and No 5 Chambers. The senior team also has extensive experience throughout the landscape industry and in large scale project management and we pride ourselves on providing sound and robust landscape and visual advice of the highest quality from the outset, which we are able to fully defend at Public Inquiry where necessary.

What we do

We have considerable experience in advising a broad range of public and private sector clients on a variety of developments including residential developments; sites from application to strategic land promotion; health care projects including higher density assisted living; major food and non-food retail developments; industrial developments; renewable energy schemes; minerals and waste; urban, town centre, semi-rural and rural developments; together with brown field regeneration sites.

We understand the landscape constraints and commercial pressure that many development sites have, and our objective is to maximise development potential whilst ensuring that proposals are both supportable and justifiable in terms of landscape, townscape and visual amenity issues and create longer term environmental benefits.
