February 2020 – Consent granted for 199 homes on Land West of Dorking Way, Calcot, Reading.

Aspect Landscape Planning have been working closely with DHA Architects and Bellway Homes (Thames Valley) to progress a comprehensive scheme in Calcot, Reading. The site was an edge of settlement location and was identified as an area for future development to help meet the demand for homes within Berkshire.

Aspect provided landscape design advice in relation to the development to ensure a high quality scheme and the landscaping and drainage worked in tandem. The redevelopment scheme will provide 199 new homes as well as public open space and enhanced links with the existing linear park, and the new landscaping will help integrate the new buildings and create localised landscape and biodiversity enhancements. The application was approved in February 2020 and Aspect are now currently preparing the detailed technical landscape input in order to discharge planning conditions.
