Landscape Opportunities and Constraints

Aspect Landscape Planning were appointed by Anwyl Land to undertake the Master planning, landscape strategy and Landscape & Visual Impact Assessment work for an outline application for 241 residential units on land to the south of Hailsham, East Sussex. Aspect worked alongside the consultant team to address LPA comments and drainage issues on the site and also prepared a comprehensive Design & Access Statement to support the outline application as well as the Public Consultation material and exhibition boards. Due to a landscape led layout being developed and the scheme responding to the localized context and various constraints including an area of Ancient Woodland and retention of the majority of the existing field hedgerows and treescape, a successful scheme was achieved and planning consent granted in 2019.
