Aspect Landscape - News

Landscape: December 2011 – Aspect provides landscape and visual evidence at Public Inquiry for a mixed use development on the southern edge of Lancaster.

Lancaster: Following refusal of the planning application for a mixed use scheme including a retail store, pub/restaurant and hotel to the south of Lancaster, Aspect were instructed to prepare the landscape and visual evidence. The Inquiry commenced in October and was adjourned mid way through due to additional information relating to the proposed offsite link road requirements and as such a revised scheme was to be prepared which takes this into account. The Inquiry is to be recommenced in March 2012 following the submission of a revised layout.

Seaton: A new Tesco store in Seaton, Devon opened in November 2011. The development of the food store on the site of a former holiday park received planning permission towards the end of 2010. Aspect provided the landscape and visual advice, Landscape and Ecology ES Chapters and initial landscape masterplans for the scheme which formed part of a wider mixed use development. The public realm landscape details provided important pedestrian links with the town centre and formed a key part of the scheme (see the projects section of the website for more information).
